Tuition & Fees 2022-2023
The Simon School is a true partner with parents seeking to put quality education and student needs first, including the needs of neurodivergent students. For these reasons, we do not want any undue influence on the quality of a Simon School education, and we want to be as free as possible to offer the best education to our students - regardless of politics. Therefore, we do not accept any federal, state, or local monies. The school functions exclusively upon the tuition and fees it receives from parents. Thank you!
Tuition and fees at the Simon School is for a 36 week school year, including our holiday breaks and all materials needed, including those of the maker-space,and books.
We completely share the joy and responsibility of educating the child with our parent-partners. For this reason we ensure a traditional summer break where classes begin after Labor day and all major religious and secular holidays are given proper time to be enjoyed with family and friends. Learning takes place because of the environment not the amount of time dedicated to it.
Tuition and fees
-
$100 - application fee (non-refundable).
-
Tuition for grades 6-12 is $5000/year plus any add-on such as Fun Friday and meal plans. 50% of the tuition is due at registration (reservation fee). Tuition, including the portion labeled as the reservation fee, are non-refundable as outlined above.
-
$275 Uniform/Maker-space/Supply Fee: Clothing in accordance with the schools dress code (School polo or T-shirts and khaki pants, knee length shorts or skorts). Students are given one polo shirt with registration. Additional School polo/T-Shirts are purchased through the school bookstore. It is the parent's responsibility to purchase khaki pants/shorts/skorts.
-
8 hours of parent volunteer time per semester (1 day/semester or split over 2 half days). This is used to help keep costs low. It also provides parents with direct insight to what is happening at school. Parents will also benefit from watching a professional teacher interact with their child.
The cost of tuition at the Simon School is significantly more cost effective than elite private school educations and at a significantly better teacher:student ratio too! This substantial difference comes from fewer days in school per week, micro-school model, and families owning the responsibility of educating their children. We believe this model not only saves parents money, but more importantly provides an optimal education for their children.
