please note not all courses are open to all aged students. Courses with a Level 1-4 are for high school students and are generally equivalent to grade-levels 9-12.
Some courses are limited to specific aged students due to maturity level needed for the course content. Courses without an age limit or level are open to students in grades 6-12

American Literature
Travel through time and become one with our American ancestors through their poems, short stories, diaries, letters, and novels.
This course has 4 levels so students can take the course more than once without repeating readings.

Level 3: Reconstruction to WW1
Level 4: Roaring 20s to Present

Public Speaking
Did you now the greatest fear among Americans is speaking in public? This fear can have serious consequences in a future job requirements. Learn how to be comfortable speaking in public with prepared speeches and "off-the-cuff" commentary.

Holocaust & Human Rights
Learn about the complete history of how humanity developed into a global society that so readily accepted the persecution of its Jews and other "undesirables".
* This class is open to students who have taken American History and World History and are over the age of 15.
*possibility to travel to either DC or Europe exists depending on travel restrictions etc.

World Culture & Civilization
What makes us all unique, yet the same. It sour society. Come learn about the 6000 years of human culture and civilization. Travel the world as we learn about Asia, Africa, the Americas, Europe, and the Pacific Islands. What makes each place and its people unique and interesting and how are we all connected?
This is a 4 week course

World religions
There are few things that have brought people comfort and chaos as the religions of the world. Why is that? What is it that people believe?
Come learn about the major world religions, what their history is, what they believe, what are their customs and rituals and holidays, and how they have influenced world events.
Level 1: Western monotheistic Religions (Judaeo-Christian)
Level 2: Eastern Monotheistic Religions (Islam)
Level 3: Eastern Religions
This course is open to students who are over 13 years old

Academic Writing
Levels 1-4
Learn how to write like an academic. There is a specific way to write a good academic essay regardless of its length. This involves understanding research techniques, how to properly incorporate citations, and how to establish an authoritative tone to your writing.
